Flow 1 (early concept design only)

In and Outdoor, large Chrome-Steel, Light and Water sculpture for public fountains and reflective pools.

Flow 1 comes in two design styles:

A) STRAIGHT Flow 1 - which is a symmetric, oval segment shape, with a level horizontal top.

B) SLANTED Flow 1 - which is a teardrop shaped segment, with a slanted top.

Both the Straight and the Slanted Flow 1 version consist of several "stacked", highly polished chrome steel segments of diminishing sizes.

In both versions the form is elongated, so it appears very narrow and thin from the front and much wider from the side.

Water emerges smoothly over the top curved edge of each segments and flows down the vertical surface into the protruding "lip" of the lower segment below. The lowest and largest segment receives the water and feeds it into the reflective pool and the pump internally.

With the placement of RGB LEDs  shining up from below each water lever in each tiered lip it is possible to program subtle color shifts and gradations throughout the sculpture which will reflect back to the surrounding building walls from the reflective pond, in essence creating a LIGHT and WATER sculpture. 

Flow 1 can be fabricated out of Chrome Steel, or any other kind of suitable metal (depends on location!). It can also be painted in any color with long-lasting metallic automotive paint, to match the finishes of its surrounding. It can be custom sized from 6ft all the way to 60ft to match the space and reflective pool or fountain proportions.

This Water and Light sculpture takes its design idea from a Miami Skyscraper.
